This is the latest Global Connection Pointe in Ecuador! Our Team recently went to Ecuador on a

“Vision” Trip to see firsthand the ministry that is taking place there. Below is a brief description of

With You International. We will be partnering with them sending teams throughout the year

along with helping raise financial support.

WITH YOU INTERNATIONAL

We care for orphans and children at risk in Ecuador. Our programs are like two hands holding each other. One hand is Orphan Care. The other hand is our Community Centers where we focus on strengthening families. Our programs are designed to prevent them from being stuck for generations in the cycle of extreme poverty.  Many children in the system in Ecuador are abandoned there as a result of poverty.

With You International knows that our strength lies not only in the value of caring for the abandoned, but with equal importance, caring for the families who are living in crisis. Empowering them is our focus through our programs and projects. Back in 2015, our Non-Profit Organization came face to face with the crisis of child abandonment and poverty in Ecuador. Every child, no matter their life circumstance is loved. At With You International, our mission is to share the message that they are NOT ALONE.

We have been part of establishing a school, training pastors and the Selah Center – a vocational training center for women. It allows them to learn a vocation/trade as well as character development. They also participate in serving the community in many different ways listed below!

Update May 2022

It has been a little over a month since we went to India, and we finally got to putting together an update.

Two grandmothers really touched our hearts

During the time of distribution of food bags, one widowed grandmother came up weeping and shared the story of her two grandsons who are staying with the children’s other widowed grandmother. Both parents had been killed a few months back in a tragic vehicle accident. The impoverished grandmothers are left to share the task of raising these two young boys, (see the boy’s photo below) she pleaded to receive two bags of food a month, one for each of the grandmothers.

Selah Center food bags cost $9.00. If you are willing to contribute monthly to provide for these boys or for people on the waiting list see the donation box below. Many people come to Selah monthly asking for food – the word has spread that Selah is a place that cares, helps, and shows love and mercy.

A testimony at Selah’s Graduation. This past year an exception was made to our admittance policy of single girls only. A mother of two school age children lost her husband, her name is Lakshmi. (See photo below) At the graduation ceremony she shared through tears and smiles her testimony: she learned of Jesus and his love for her for the very first time through the Selah Club Pebbles and Stones ministry taught there, and through the acts of kindness & love she witnessed from the staff and other girls.

One tangible act of kindness shown to her was: the students pooled from their own resources this past year to contribute towards a cell phone for her – she has never owned one. We saw firsthand the love expressed as they gently teased her for her giddiness in taking photos on our trip with the class to Bhavani Island
